About the role…

We are seeking an experienced HR/HC Driver who is looking to take the next step in their career.

As a Lead Driver, you will continue to perform driving duties while supporting daily operations, assisting with shift coordination, maintaining compliance standards, and helping ensure the smooth running of our transport operations.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading by example, and supporting both drivers and operational teams.

What your day will look like:

• Undertaking HR/HC driving duties across airport and contracted site operations
• Supporting the day-to-day coordination of operational shifts
• Assisting with staff supervision, attendance and task allocation
• Ensuring fleet pre-start checks are completed and maintenance issues are reported
• Monitoring vehicle and asset presentation standards
• Liaising with customers, Operations Managers, Allocators and operational stakeholders
• Supporting compliance with HVNL, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), WHS and company procedures
• Assisting with toolbox talks and operational briefings
• Supporting incident response and operational issue resolution
• Completing shift reports and operational administration
• Promoting a strong safety culture and customer-focused environment

About you…

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Current HR or HC Driver's Licence
• Minimum 3 years' heavy vehicle driving experience
• Previous experience within transport, logistics, airfreight or aviation operations
• Strong understanding of HVNL, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WHS requirements
• Experience supporting teams, coordinating operations or mentoring others
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift Licence (LF) highly regarded
• Airside, aviation or airfreight experience highly regarded
• Ability to obtain and maintain an ASIC
